由於近年科技的蓬勃發展，空氣汙染日益嚴重，本文旨在探討臺灣地區空氣汙染與國人身體健康之間的關聯，使用2002~2011年全民健康保險研究資料庫(NHIRD)2010年承保抽樣歸人檔以及行政院環境保護署2001~2014年空汙費排放資料，並以OLS及Poisson迴歸估計，試圖判斷各種空氣汙染相關疾病罹病率與空氣汙染的影響。結果發現，氮氧化物會使人體更容易罹患慢性阻塞性肺部疾病，此外，空氣汙染對循環系統疾病的就醫次數皆是正向顯著。年齡層部份，空氣汙染大多對15歲~65歲的成年人及65歲以上老年人有敝處。從實證結果可以看出空氣汙染確實可能會對健康造成影響，換言之，空氣汙染的增加會提高人們罹患疾病的機會。 With the progressing of techonology, the problem of air pollution in Taiwan has become more and more serious. Therefore, this study attempts to examine the impact of air pollution on human health in Taiwan. Specifically, this research uses the data from National Health Insurance Research Database and the data of air pollution emissions provided by Environmental Protection Administration. We use ordinary least squares and the Poisson regression to investigate the impact of air pollution on the morbidity of air pollution-related diseases. My results show that, when focusing on nitrogen oxides, people are susceptible to Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. Moreover, there is a significant, positive relationship between air pollution and the morbidity of circulatory system disease. In addition, the adult and elderly are more easily affected by air pollution. Finally, air pollution does have an impact on health. In other words, as air pollution increases, the morbidity of air pollution-related diseases increases.
