Abstract: Abstract: In this technical note we will presnet the idea of the mimic-quadric-interpolation immersed boundary (MQI-IB) method. A Dispersion-Relation-Preserving (DRP) upwinding scheme for the convective terms developed in Cartesian grids is also applied within the present analysis framework.
