Abstract: In recent years, researc h based on the us er-centered a pproach to c o-designing is
changing the design process itself, creating new domains of collective creativity. If th ere were a
tool that could capture a user’s reported experiences and awareness, and categorize these together
with an asso ciated ph otograph, it wo uld make a fru itful add ition t o th e creation of written
scenarios in the design process. In this study, we have developed a sel f-reporting system, Mobile
AP II, a potentially val uable t ool f or de veloping a com prehensive c ontext cl assification, a nd t o
demonstrate how different types of photo contexts and their relationships may be identified.
