Abstract: Abstrast:This study presents the effects of suction and blowing on laminar vortex development for a fully-developed channel flow past a circular cylinder at an intermediate Reynolds number.Three types of blowing/section pattern were proposed in this study.They include the steady,intermittent and sinusoidal patterns.The study was conducted computationally.The numerical results show some interesting interactions between the suction/blowing and laminar vortex shedding.
