Abstract: Abstract:This study shows a fabrication technique of 3D biological filters with adjustable pore size consisted of polystyrene nanoparticle and hydrogel self-assembled inside a pre-fabricated microchannel. Pores sizes of filters could be changed using different weight ratio of crosslinking agent (BIS) of hydrogel and nanoparticle. The fluid pressure and strength of the hybrid material are increased with increasing the weight ratios of BIS and polystyrene. Serratia marcescens and red blood cells were successfully separated. The filter can add separation function onto μTAS device and apply in clinical analysis, microsensor, and three-dimensional separation.
