Abstract: Abstract: A novel bistable light-emitting memory device is demonstrated not only to read the encoded signal electrically, but to enable signal communication by optical detection; this facilitates the capability for a parallel reading process and raises the transmission rate of the signal dramatically. The ON/OFF ratio can be extremely large, based on optical detection with low applied bias.
