|Abstract: ||Abstract: Feature detection plays an important role in image analysis applications like image registration, stereo match, and object recognition. Regions, lines, or points are understood as features here. Point features such as object corners which will be the study object in this thesis because of their invariance to imaging geometry property and they are sensitive by human observer. In this thesis, we propose a boundary-based corner detection by using circular mask method; it calls R-radius corner detection. The R-radius corner detection was compared with popular corner detectors, and the result show that the proposed corner detection performs well than other methods. Furthermore, the proposed corner detection was also verified with some digital geometry object. The proposed method performs well, too. Finally, we will present a gear inspection and fish larvae counting system that combines CCD camera and R-radius algorithm.|
