Title: Level of anion surfactants in aquacultural ecosystem of grass shrimp Penaeus monodon in Ilan Prefecture

Abstract: Abstract: To determine the feasibility of substitution of extruded rice for wheatflour which included 30% in diet,five diets containing 0,7.5,15,22.5,and 30%extruded rice were prepared to feed to grass prawn,Penaeus monodon.Thisfeeding trial was conducted outdoors within 1500 L FRP tanks.After feedingtrials of 60 days duration,the weight gain of prawn decreased with increasinglevels of extruded rice in diets.Grass prawn fed the diet containing onlywheat flour showed significantly better feed efficiency than those fed dietscontaining different levels of extruded rice.There was no significant differencein weight gain of prawn fed diets containing 30% wheat flour and 22.5% wheatflour with 7.5% extruded rice.Survival of prawn ranged from 73 to 100% forall treatments.Five diets were evaluated for water stability after 30,60,90,and 120 minutes in seawater of 32 ppt and 28℃.After 120 minutes of immersion,30% wheat flour included diet,and 7.5% extruded rice with 22.5% wheatflour included diet had water stability(dry weight of feed left intact/dryinitial weight of feed×100)above 90%.However,the diets containing 22.5%extruded rice with 7.5% wheat flour and 30% extruded rice had the lowestwater stability.The results suggest that prawn fed a diet containing 7.5%extruded rice to replace wheat flour can grow as well as prawn fed with awheat flour diet.
