Abstract: Abstract: DNA hybridization of thrombin-binding aptamers (TBAs) to form a self-assembled arranged monolayer on gold nanoparticles (Au NPs) was used to control the coagulation activity of thrombin. The hTBA15/hTBA29/cDNA-Au NPs provided flexibility and a suitable orientation and distance between the hTBA15 and hTBA29 units for bivalent binding, allowing strong interactions with thrombin and extremely high anticoagulant potency.
