Abstract: Abstract: Fluorescent gold and silver nanoclusters are interesting sensing materials because of their molecule-like optical properties, easy preparation, and biocompatibility. In this review, we highlight the chemical and optical properties of fluorescent gold and silver nanoclusters, as well as their preparation and applications in biomolecular analysis and cell imaging.
