Title: 東海南部夏季基礎生產力的短期變化
Short-term variation of summertime primary production in the southern East China Sea

Abstract: 本文利用國科會「東海長期觀測與研究」整合計畫於2010和2011年8月(2010/08/02-05、08/25-27;2011/08/01-03、08/16-20)在東海南部共四個航次觀測到之海洋環境與基礎生產力資料來探討月內期間的短期變化。探測海域由馬祖以東至陸棚外側,依水團性質差異將研究海域劃分為陸棚內側、中間與外側等三個區域。於2010年8月初航次發現在陸棚中間海域之結果有明顯異於其它三個航次的情形,如未將該航次結果納入統計分析,顯示在東海南部海域範圍內之基礎生產力以陸棚外側處於黑潮常年湧升的區域具有最高值(1031374 mgC m-2 d-1),陸棚中間因受臺灣暖流水的影響具有最低值(592162 mgC m-2 d-1),陸棚內側則間接受到黑潮湧升水的影響介於兩者之間(848228 mgC m-2 d-1),整個研究海域平均為787310 mgC m-2 d-1,較前人(Gong et al., 2000)過去在相同海域7月份的觀測結果高約2.3倍。在2010年8月初的陸棚中間海域發現水體受到強烈垂直混合作用的影響,使得基礎生產力(1918150 mgC m-2 d-1)較前述平均值高出3倍之多。從本研究之結果顯示東海南部海域在夏天期間之基礎生產力仍存有明顯的月變化;除此之外,月內期間亦會發生短期的變化,雖然發生強烈垂直混合作用的原因不明,但此作用卻可大幅提升該海域的基礎生產力,值得進一步深入探討發生之機制。
Four August cruises between year 2010 (08/02-05, 08/25-27) and 2011 (08/01-03, 08/16-20) conducted in the southern East China Sea where extended from inner shelf to the outer shelf were used to study the short-term variation of primary production. An unusual vertical mixing was found in the middle shelf on the early August 2010 cruise. When the result of early August 2010 cruise was excluded from statistical analysis, it was found the highest primary production (1031374 mgC m-2 d-1) was in the outer shelf where Kuroshio upwelling frequently occurred and the lowest primary production (592162 mgC m-2 d-1) was in the middle shelf where Taiwan Current Warm Water occupied. Primary production (848228 mgC m-2 d-1) in the inner shelf was in-between which was affected by the westward extension of the Kuroshio upwelling. The spatial average of primary production in the southern East China Sea was 787310 mgC m-2 d-1 which was about 2.3 times higher than previous study on July (Gong et al., 2000). The very high of primary production (1918150 mgC m-2 d-1) was observed in the middle shelf on the early August 2010 cruise and its value was about 3 times higher than that in the usual condition at the same region. This present study indicated that primary production in the southern East China Sea not only have higher monthly variation in summer, but have strong inter-monthly variation.
