Abstract: 摘要:本計畫協同總計畫與美國團隊共同分析2009 年4-7 月美國研究船(R/V Marcus Langseth)在菲律賓海收集之跨越加瓜海脊南段的MGL0908-07、通過馬尼拉隱沒帶與南 海海盆的MGL0908-05 長支距反射震測與海底地震儀(26 站)震測資料以及1995 年美國 尤英號研究船在加瓜海脊北段收集之長支距反射震測資料( 約600 公里長的 MCS291-28、EW9509-5、EW9509-3、EW9509-19)。我們將結合重合前深度移位與走時 反演技術分析,並整合已完成之臺灣增積岩體11 站(MGL0905-27)、加瓜海脊中段的18 站(MGL0908-09)與2006 年收集的24 站海底地震儀震測資料。由於重合前深度移位建構 的速度模型在沉積層有長支距反射震測的高覆蓋率以及成像良好的反射層面,所以可提 供海底地震儀震測資料分析所需的初始沉積層速度模型。此外本計畫建立的沉積層與地 殼界面較傳統的折射初達波速度模型可靠,並可成為處理海底地震儀水平分量資料設定 P-S 波轉換界面的重要基礎。計畫成果可探討南海北部(海陸過渡帶)、馬尼拉隱沒帶(增 積岩體、隱沒滑脫面)與花東海盆(加瓜海脊南北向變化)地殼速度構造,進而串聯臺灣與 菲律賓之間的海域地體構造。
Abstract:In this project, we collaborate with the integrated project and USA team to analyze long-offset reflection data and 26 ocean-bottom seismometer (OBS) data across the southern Gagua Ridge (MGL0908-07), Manila subduction zone and South China Sea Bas in (MGL0908-05) in the Philippine Sea collected by R/V Marcus Langseth during April-July of 2009. Long-offset reflection data across the northern Gagua Ridge (MCS291-28, EW9509-5, EW9509-3 and EW9509-19 with a total length of about 600 km) collected by R/V Maurice Ewing in 1995 will also be reprocessed. We shall not only use pre-stack depth migration and travel-time inversion to analyze these seismic data, but also integrate the results obtained from OBS data across Taiwan accretionary prism (11 OBS along MGL0905-27), the central Gagua Ridge (18 OBS along MGL0908-09) and the southern Gagua Ridge (24 OBS recorded in 2006). Since velocity models, constructed by using the pre-stack depth migration of the long-offset reflection data, possess better and full constraints of the sedimentary interfaces, they can properly provide the initial sedimentary models required in the OBS data analysis. Furthermore, the sedimentary and crustal interfaces imaged in this project are more reliable than those obtained only from the first arrivals so that our results will become the foundation for setting up the converted interfaces of P-S waves in analyzing the horizontal components of OBS data. Seismic results accomplished in this project include the crustal velocity models in the northern South China Sea (ocean-continent transition), Manila subduction zone (accretionary and decollement) and Huatung Basin (N-S variation of Gagua Ridge) that will characterize the tectonic structures between Taiwan and Philippine.
