Abstract: 本論文之目的為探究臺灣北部蟹籠漁業活動之時空特性研究。2011年11月至2012年12月間,收集了12艘於臺灣北部海域作業之蟹籠漁船提供之漁撈日誌與及其航行紀錄器所登載之漁船航跡資料,並透過地理資訊系統將上述資料予以整合。根據作業漁船之平均航速,可將其作業模式劃分為三大類別:8.04±1.43節代表作業漁船往返於漁港與漁場、2.78±1.17節代表作業漁船揚收籠具、7.44±1.64節代表作業漁船投放籠具或轉換漁場。主要作業漁場則分布於24.9~27.5°N、120.3~122.3°E間,水深50-200m砂泥底質之東海陸棚上。其中鏽斑蟳(Charybdis feriatus)、善泳蟳(C. natator)以及紅星梭子蟹(Portunus sanguinolentus)及等三大蟹類為主要之漁獲對象。鏽斑蟳及善泳蟳的單位努力漁獲量(CPUE)均在11月時達到最高(8.29及2.06 kg/hour),而紅星梭子蟹則是在9月時達到最高(4.31 kg/hour)。鏽斑蟳之CPUE在1月時降至最低值(1.27kg/hour),而善泳蟳與紅星梭子蟹之月別CPUE則均於3月時降至最低(0.07 及0.32kg/hour)。此外,作業漁場之CPUE重心(Gravity center of CPUE)亦隨季節與蟹種之不同而有所差別。綜合上述,將漁撈日誌所得之漁獲資料與航行紀錄器所提供較為精確且公正之航跡資料予以整合,可有效掌握臺灣北部海域蟹籠漁業活動時空特性作為日後漁政單位進行管理之用。
The purpose of this thesis is to explore spatial and temporal characteristics of crab trap fishing activity in the water off northern Taiwan. The catch data from logbooks and track data from VDRs (Voyage Data Recorder) of 12 fishing boats were routinely collected from Nov 2011 to December 2012 and further integrated using GIS (Geographic Information System) approaches. According to the average speed of fishing vessels, fishing operations were classified into three categories: 8.04±1.43 knot for cursing between harbor and fishing grounds, 2.78±1.17 knot for releasing crab traps, 7.44±1.64 knot for collecting crab traps and sifting between fishing grounds. The main fishing grounds, ranged from 120.55-121.77 °E and 25.00-27.35 °N, were on the continental shelf of East China Sea with depths of 50-200 m. Three crab species, Charybdis feriatus, C. natator, Portunus sanguinolentus, accounted for the majority of catches. Monthly CPUE (catch per unit effort) of C. feriatus and C. natator both rose to the highest level in November (8.29 & 2.06 kg/hr) while that of P. sanguinolentus rose to the highest level in September (4.31 kg/hr). In contrast, monthly CPUE of C. feriatus dropped to the lowest level in January (1.27 kg/hr) while that of C. natator and Portunus sanguinolentus dropped to the lowest level in March (0.07 kg/ & 0.0.32kg/hr), respectively. Additionally, gravity center of monthly CPUE was also found to be varied with seasons and crab species. Taken together, it is effective and feasible to monitor spatial and temporal characteristics of crab trap fishing activity in the waters off northern Taiwan by integrating catch information from logbooks with more precise and unbiased track information from VDR.
