Abstract:This project is aimed to development and assessment of Taiwan seafood traceability system and its strategic planning procedures. This is done by reviewing GAP's SOP developed in previous projects, constructing database for seafood producers, processors, distributors, and retailers, establishing demo system for mobile GAP management systems of 6 aquaculture species. Further, national web site for the registration of aquacultural farmers as well as distributors and vendors. Steps in implementing nationalwide scale seafood traceability system will be investigated whereas, the feasibility assessment, and the accompanied promoting governmental policy incentives will also be suggested. Databanks and on-line registration systems for nation-wide aquacultural farms, seafood distributors, wholesalers, and retailers will be established and tested.
