Abstract: 摘要:資訊隱藏目前已經是廣為研究課題,其中重要的技術之一,就是數位浮水印。在一 般的數位浮水印機制中,其認證的對象都是數位資訊。而本計畫所提出新的認證系統, 是可以對實體圖像直接做認證,稱為照相型浮水印 (Photo watermark) 系統。現在非法 的影印很多,例如:影印原文書或圖片,雖然上面有可視的商標或版權,但是目前影印 的技術,可以把商標處理掉,或者在重複copy 的情況下,商標變得不可辨識。本系統 在此的應用,就可以利用不可視的浮水印來認證這些非法的影本。 Photo watermark 在技術上會遇到二個大問題:列印與取像。首先,在列印時,隨著 印表機的精密程度的不同,圖像呈現的效果也不同,而且使用紙的不同也會影響其品 質。第二,在取像時,照相機或掃描器的不同也會影響其成像效果,另外其過程中還有 雜訊、明暗、旋轉、縮放和扭曲等問題。所以本研究的主要方向是在這些多變的因素中, 找到不變的關係,並強化這樣的關係來保證其可行性。本計畫預期利用已知的浮水印相 關背景知識,設計出一套新的浮水印系統可以直接進行相片認證。
abstract:Information hiding is now a well-studied field in the information engineering and one of the important techniques is digital watermarking. In a common watermarking system, the test image is processed in digital form. In this project, we plan to research a brand new authentication system, called photo watermark, which can be used for direct photo authentication. There are many illegal copies, such as duplicates of textbooks or pictures. Although the visible trademark can be used for authentication, it might be eliminated with repeating the copy process. The new watermarking system in this proposal is employed for the case to authenticate the illegal copies with invisible watermarks. The two difficulties in photo watermark system are: print and photo. First, in the print process, the quality of an image changes with the sophistication of different printers, or depends on the choice of papers. Second, in the fetching process, the quality of a photograph not only depends on the camera or scanner, but also image processes, such as noise adding, brightness, rotation, scaling and small random twist. Therefore, the main point of the research is to investigate the invariable relation from the varied conditions. Based on the knowledge of digital watermarking and image processing, this project is planned to construct a new watermarking system for direct authentication of photo images.
