Abstract: abstract:This book discusses the application of a Hilbert-Huang transformation (HHT)-based time-frequency scheme to the analysis of the FP1 electroencephalogram (EEG) signals of clinical alcoholic and normal observers. Also discussed herein is the time-frequency characteristics of clinical FP1 EEG signals recorded from normal and alcoholic observers watching a picture. This book describes how research has been extended to analyze clinical FP1 EEG signals recorded from normal and alcoholic observers watching two different pictures. The HHT is one of the major time-frequency analysis schemes and is suitable for the analysis of local time signals.
