Abstract: Abstract:The design of a meta-material realization of artificial magnetic conductor (AMC) surfaces for a high-gain reflector antenna application is presented. Artificial materials of periodic dielectrics exhibiting an electromagnetic band-gap (EBG) performance have been proposed and applied planar inverted-F antenna co-design and measurement. The artificial dielectric material(ADM) can enhance antenna radiation performance, spread antenna bandwidth and improve antenna radiation gain and e±ciency. The artificial defected dielectric material has useful char-acteristics of harmonic rejection, band suppression and surface wave suppression.
