Abstract: Abstract:Finding coding regions (exons) in a DNA strand involves searching amongst the many nucleotides (typically contains millions to hundreds of millions of elements) that comprise a DNA strand. Certain biological functions are related to observe periodic behavior in DNA sequences. Some exons within the protein-coding region of DNA sequence of eukaryotes tend to exhibit a period-three pattern. Appropriately, the field of DSP has begun to contribute to the gene identification problem by allowing for discoveries in terms of these periodicities. The main purpose of this paper presents known spectral analysis techniques that are applied in a new manner to find DNA sequences that exhibit periodic behavior in the residues.
