Abstract: Abstract:This paper presents a passivity fuzzy controller design method for the synchronous generator subject to external disturbances. In order to describe the properties of the system, the Sugeno fuzzy model is employed to analyze the stability of the system. For resisting the perturbations from the load side or environment, the concepts of mean square stability and passivity theory can be employed to achieve system stability and to attenuate external disturbances. In addition, the Lyapunov function is used to be the storage function that can represent the total energy of the system. Simulation results from applying the proposed method to a sample single-generator-connected-to-infinite-bus system are demonstrated to show that the system can be guaranteed to achieve strictly input passive and mean square stable via the designed passivity fuzzy controller.
