Abstract: Abstract:In this paper, Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy control theory and Iterative Linear Matrix Inequality (ILMI) algorithm are proposed as key tools for designing an effective and simple congestion controller for high-speed data networks. Due to actuator constraints, inputs of TCP model are important points which have to be considered by designers. In this paper, we attempt to combine the control and modeling techniques via T-S fuzzy models to deal with the control design problems of the continuous nonlinear TCP network. The proposed T-S fuzzy control scheme is accomplished by using the Parallel Distributed Compensation (PDC) concept and ILMI algorithm. Furthermore, we illustrate our results using NS-2 simulations and demonstrate the practical impact of T-S fuzzy control on managing queue utilization and delay.
