Abstract: Abstract:In this paper we propose a transportation demand split model for international container ports in Taiwan area. There are two solution process stages in this model. We first compute each port’s transportation demand split rate by fuzzy multiple criteria decision-making method (MCDM) in stage one. In stage two, based on each port’s transportation demand split rate we can obtain each port’s transportation demand split by mathematic programming. Finally, this model is tested by a case study of Taiwanese ports. The results show that this model seems to be promising.
