|Abstract: ||Abstract:In this study, Discussion on the subject was the reciprocal effect of long period wave and wave
energy dissipating quay structure. The major goal is, by using the hydraulic model test, to develop the
suitable new wave dissipation structure. To understand the hydro-motion when the wave acting on the
structure. The dissipating ability has been analysis by the reflection coefficient. Test models
constitute by the slope, wave dissipating space and porous space. The model scale is considered as
1/36. We fixed wave height (H=5 cm) and long period wave (T=3.0 sec~8.0 sec) act on the structure,
and the porous space uses the same gravel as porosity. To discuss the effect, the test model changing
the internal slope and distance of wave dissipating space ratio. As the result, the experiment
demonstrate the best wave dissipating effect when fixed distance of wave dissipating space ratio is the
test model with slope 1/8 and fixed slope is the distance of wave dissipating space ratio with D3.
Finally discovery the best of all experiment is the test model with internal slope 1/8 and wave
dissipating space ratio D3. The study can provide useful data forthe future design quay structure.
